My life...

As much as I force myself not to even think about it, there something strange and mysterious about the way you make me feel attracted to you..
A feeling so strong I think I might lose my mind trying to control myself from losing my heart..
Its not your fault...Its just me and my madness over you..
The best part is you'll be always be the secret I'll never reveal...

.::Something to share with::.

It's hard to accept, but you can't change the past... You can't go back and manipulate things to the way you wanted them to happen... Because life'd be meaningless and boring and just not worth living... But you can change the future and that's a beautiful thing about life. Yes, you will make mistakes... And yes, you will have bad days - but as long as you let the past go, you'll have such a gorgeous and bright future ahead of you. Knowing that things were meant to happen... Knowing that each day you will learn something so that you keep growing to be a better person... Life is like a rope, twined in all its complexities and yet weaved into one marvellous stream that you have the chance you use something amazing from. So grab hold of it...
Mistakes are a part of being human... Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way... Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from...
The trouble with so many of us is that we underestimate the power of simplicity... We have a tendency it seems to over complicate our lives and forget what's important and what's not... We tend to mistake movement for achievement... We tend to focus on activities instead of results... And as the pace of life continues to race along in the outside world, we forget that we have the power to control our lives regardless of what's going on outside...
There are two things which prevent us from achieving our dreams... The first is the belief that they are impossible and the second is seeing them made possible by the twist of the wheel of fortune when we least expect it... For at that moment, all our fears rise to the surface: the fear of suddenly setting off along a road heading god knows where, the fear of a life full of new challenges, the fear of losing forever all that is familiar....

Journey To India (updated)

Journey to a totally new life has just begin….

!ncredible !ndia ?

Hmmmm… I don’t think so….

All that i can describe is that i have landed in an exotic land!

Firstly so sorry i could not upload any pictures with this post. Its taking to long to upload!!

I have so many things to be told of this place, but the taught are just not coming out in words…

What shall I say….

Firstly the terms that is used here differ from the commonly use in Malaysia and else where. Not all but some.

Top up = Recharge
( I could not stop saying top up since i find it more appropriate)
Take away = Parcel
(In Malaysia I commonly use as tapau or bungkus but using parcel here…wonder what they call a real parcel as in post delivery??)
Lap coat = Apron
( I was totally blur when was told that we can get our apron outside. Why the hell i need to buy an apron to be a medical student, I’m not going to be a chef!! It was later that i found out that lap coat is actually called apron here!! lolx Wonder what a real apron will be call here…Lap coat??)
Photostat = Xerox
( I kinda know these term before coming here..Lots of Tamil movie effect i guess. So i was not totally surprise with the term)

No one understand stuff if we said it the way it is. Everything have to be said in their way and their ascent together shaking of the head to make them understand. Then you can successfully communicate with the locals here.!!
For example we will usually say “I’m going out” but here they will only understand if I've to say it as “ Going out I”…LOL

Not everyone here knows ENGLISH!! That makes the Malaysian student’s life complicated even more. Well in Malaysia everyone knows English even if their are not so fluent… At least they understand!! I had a terrible experience dealing with a lady in the administration of my college… Can you ever imagine, a lady that works in the administration yet don’t even understands English!!

One fine day, I went to the admins office to get my record books, so i asked the lady where to get it, how much it cost and how many books are there. The lady was in total silence. I taught maybe she wanted to answer me when I'm done with my questions. Unfortunately, when i finished talking to her she called another lady in the admin and said something in the local language(Kannada). The second lady then ask me what I wanted? How idiotic can the first lady be?? She could just tell me she did not understand me, or at least shake her head. I could have known it that she did not understand me!

WOST OF ALL!!!
Do I look like Indian as in from India?? I know i look like India because I am one. But can’t they even differentiate an local Indian and an Indian from outside India. I don’t know but the people here could not believe that I’m an Indian from Malaysia. WTH!?! What they think that Indians can be found in India only is it?? What pits me off the most that the people here come talking to me in different local language that i don’t understand!!! If there was anyone to talk to me in Tamil i could still understand but no one NO ONE speaks Tamil here!! The language the commonly spoken to me is Hindi and Kannada which I have no clue what so about it! ( Well I know a bit which is totally not enough to understand them!)

Since only my classmates knows that I'm from Malaysia, they tend to ask me really ridiculous questions like you look like Indian and are you Indian are you really from Malaysia?? Total nonsense! Of course i look like India as i am one and of course i am really a Malaysian as I’m born in Malaysia even my parents and grandparents! Sometimes I feel like I just want to ask them “ You don’t believe?? You want me to show you my Malaysian Identification card??”. I wish.

One funny guy sitting on the row behind me once asked “What’s your name?” and so I replied “Pavitra”. Then he was like “Where are you from?” I said “Malaysia”. He gave me a surprised face and asked me “Then your name Pavitra”. I could only laugh and say “because I'm an Indian”. I think that still left him with so many question marks on his face. Lolxx

They don’t really believe that I’m an Malaysian nationality because there are many Indians as in from India but reside outside India for example in Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar and Arab Saudi. These people are called the NRI( Non residering Indian). They taught me one too! Fuhh!

I thing my seniors told us “not to trust anybody here”. I taught maybe that way just of their experience and not all will.

Unfortunately, I was proved wrong! I won’t say all but most of the people we had to handle during our first week here sort of cheated us because they know we know nothing and are new students from Malaysia!

Thank God I was extra extra careful about it all..

Medical school in India is not like medical school anywhere in the world. Like anywhere else, its call professional colleges too but from my opinion , TOTALLY NOT!!

WHY??

Medical schools in India records the highest number of ragging cases in India before Engineering colleges according to a survey!!

KSHEMA(My college) proudly say as an anti ragging campus and no ragging campus n bla bla bla!!! Do not believe anybody and anything here!
As far as I’m concern, no one ragged me or anything like that but there was an incidents that really pissed me off!

First, there is a television in the mess hall(Hostel canteen) and three rows of tables in front of the TV. One day for dinner, all of us the Malaysian first year sat at the table second nearest to the TV and we all occupied two tables. We knew nothing then. Later a Malaysian was called by the Manager of the girls hostel and told her that first year are not suppose to sit at the tables in front of TV! WTF!!?? Isn’t this a form of indirect ragging? Is there any bloody rules that only seniors can sit in front??

Second, there is a cat in our mess hall and she is pregnant. Since I’m a cat lover type, I like giving my extra food or bones to the cat. Then one day when I was about to feed the cat, a senior sort of scolded me for feeding the cat. She is really a B****…I can really recognize her! She told me that it was the mess rules that we are not suppose to feed the cat. For that one reason i went through all the mess rules and there was no such thing!! Worst of all!! Ok fine they don’t like the cat they don’t want to feed the cat…but why they are being so mean by kicking a pregnant cat?? HELLO!! It have life too! Are YOU going to be a doctor and dentist? You don’t even know to appreciate God’s creation and a LIFE!! WHAT A SHAME!?

Like I said before, Its called “ anti-ragging campus” but there have a day called the fresher’s day when all seniors are “ allowed” to rag their junior…Ridiculous isn’t it??

I told i have no words to describe but without realizing I actually wrote a long post this time..

Sorry for could not post this any much earlier…I know it have been more than 2 months since i reached India. Well, folks! Medical student life has just stepped in, I don’t have much time to write a blog ( but plenty of time to Facebook and Skype) hehehe…..

Happy reading…

Past, Present & Future

DO what makes you happy

BE with who makes you smile

LAUGH as much as your breathe

LOVE as long as you live

Since KI graduation in KTT on 27th May 2011, I have finished my college life successfully. Now I will be stepping a stone higher to a medical school.

What I have been up to since then?

Well, my elder brother came back from London on an annual leave and my elder sister down from Penang for her study break. After almost 4 years all my sibling are in Malaysia at the same time!

It was indeed the most wonderful holiday I’ve had even if we did not go for any holiday. The holiday was too short. My brother had only 2 weeks of holidays. He arrive in Malaysia on the 4th June 2011, while my sister came back a week later on the 10th June.

According to the English calendar, my sisters birthday falls on the 26th May 2011. However according to Tamil calendar its on the 10th June 2011. So we celebrated!

It was great!

Then on the 12th June, we went to the Batu Caves just to pray and sight see…

Since all my siblings are in Malaysia at the same time, we wanted to do a special birthday and fathers day surprise for our father. It was him that had always celebrated our birthday. We never did much after all.

It was planned by all three of us a month before.

Since we wanted it to be totally a surprise……we ended up celebrating at 10pm!

In the end we all had so much fun and joy! My father was so happy that i can see tears of happiness in his eyes!

Before my brother left, we had managed to snap a family photo to be hung in the house!

Well my parents can look at it every time they miss us! They will be left all alone after i leave to India this end of July!

On the 19th June 2011 was my brother’s flight back to London. Its also the last time I can see my brother before my departure to India.

Ok Pavitra take care in India

My brother’s piece of advise before going down the elevator.

This will be my last visit to KLIA airport to send off someone else. The next time, others will be sending me off….

I still remember the when the first year my brother and sister went to further their education.
I cried!
YES! I did….
Both of them were very close to me..
But now…
when I’m leaving they can’t be there….
I know,
If they had the opportunity,
They will be there for me…

DOCTOR?? WHY?? WHY DOCTOR?

If you keep smiling,

You will be happy,

If you don’t smile,

You will get BP…..

Open the heart

and

Look at the world…….

I Red heart people. I Red heart to help them, to cheer them up, to lessen their pain, help them to live a healthy live without medication, to put a smile on their face, to help those who are sick to get well and return to the society, to see them have time with their Red heartones. i believe Red heart makes the world goes round and with this little Red heart, I can make a difference in many people’s life.

I do not know since when, “help people” is no longer an acceptable answer to the question “ why you want to be a doctor?'”. I agree that $, social status, job security are also among the factors that influence me to choose this profession but in the end these things are not going to put me through my difficult times as a doctor. It is a heart full of Red heart and passion to serve people that will keep me going even though the odds are against me.

I used to hate doctors. Especially doctors who serve in the government hospital. My grandfather passed away because of carelessness and ineffectiveness of doctors. These doctors are not doctors. They are businessman selling their medical skills.
